Il y a bien longtemps, quand la poésie et l’amour avaient toute leur place dans l’univers, un chamois descendait chaque nuit de la montagne pour rejoindre une biche qui vivait sur les terres où fût implanté notre chalet. De cette passion inhabituelle naquit un drôle d’animal, mi-chamois, mi-biche qui, malheureusement, ne trouva jamais son égal pour perpétuer la race. C’est en hommage à ce bel animal mythique que l’hôtel-restaurant " Le Chabi " emprunta son nom pour que jamais ne s’éteignent les vraies histoires d’amour.

Long long ago, when poetry and love were part of life on earth, a chamois came down from the mountains every night to spend time with a deer which lived in the pastures near to where our chalet was built.  From their love was born a strange animal, half-chamois, half-deer, who sadly never found a similar mate with whom to continue this distinct lineage.  We pay homage to this beautiful mythical beast by taking its name as our hotel and restaurant (Le Chabi) so that his name will live on forever as a memory of a love story from long ago.

Vor langer Zeit, als der Poesie und der Liebe noch ein bedeutender Platz in der Welt eingeräumt wurde, stieg ein Kamel jede Nacht vom Gebirge ins Tal zu einem Reh hinab, das dort auf dem Gelände lebte, auf dem heute unser Chalet steht. Aus dieser ungewöhnlichen Leidenschaft wurde ein seltsames Tier geboren, halb Kamel, halb Reh, das leider niemals seinesgleichen fand, um die Rasse fortleben zu lassen. Zu Ehren dieses legendären Tieres ist das Hotel-Restaurant "Le Chabi" genannt worden, damit echte Liebesgeschichten niemals in Vergessenheit geraten.

Tanto tempo fa, quando la poesia e l’amore avevano ancora il loro posto nell’universo, un camoscio scendeva ogni notte dalla montagna per raggiungere una cerva che viveva sul terreno dove ora si trova il nostro chalet. Da questa passione insolita nacque uno strano animale, metà camoscio, metà cerbiatto che purtroppo non trovò mai un suo pari per perpetuare la razza. E’ in onore di questo splendido animale mitico che l’hotel-ristorante “Le Chabi" (Cha da chamois ossia cascio, bi da biche ossia cerva) prese il suo nome per fare in modo che le vere storie d’amore non finiscano mai.

Heel lang geleden, toen de poëzie en liefde elk een plaats hadden in het universum, daalde een gems elke nacht de berg af om een hert te ontmoeten op de plaats waar onze chalet nu staat. Uit deze ongewone passie werd een schattig diertje geboren, half gems, half hert, dat helaas nooit een soortgenoot vond om het ras te doen voortleven. Het is ter ere van dit mooie mythisch dier dat hotel-restaurant “Le Chabi” zijn naam dankt, opdat de echte liefdesverhalen nooit zouden verdwijnen.
