Long long ago, when poetry and love were part of life on earth, a chamois came down from the mountains every night to spend time with a deer which lived in the pastures near to where our chalet was built.  From their love was born a strange animal, half-chamois, half-deer, who sadly never found a similar mate with whom to continue this distinct lineage.  We pay homage to this beautiful mythical beast by taking its name as our hotel and restaurant (Le Chabi) so that his name will live on forever as a memory of a love story from long ago.
